Advocacy Information
See what we are doing on your campus!
SAC is composed of elected officials chosen to represent you - the Student of
Sault College. As
such, SAC is your voice on issues of concern within the college, the local
community and the
government. If you have an issue SAC wants to know, so that we can voice your
views, concerns and
opinions effectively.
SAC has been very successful in its campaigns; receiving a lot of news coverage.
SAC is always
defending the rights of Sault College Students on issues from tuition, to
improved college funding,
to student assistance, to the strike. SAC GETS HEARD.
The job of the SAC Executive is to link with the students, monitor policy, plan
events, and create
positive change for Sault College Students. SAC will hold student forums
throughout the year to
meet with students and listen to suggestions and identify areas of concern for
students. Remember,
in order to address any issue or concern you may have, you must let SAC know.
Another great resource SAC has on the advocacy front is the College Student
Alliance (CSA). The
CSA is the provincial advocacy and services group, of which SAC is proud to be a
member. The CSA
has been an excellent tool for SAC in getting your word out to the province of
Ontario. For more
information, please visit

SAC looks forward to another year of advocating to improve the Student Life at
Sault College.
